Middle Eastern Music in South America [Workshop]

This work in progress project uses the mixtape as an investigative and narrative device to showcase middle eastern music recorded, sourced or edited in Latin America during the second half of the 20th century. Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay are the countries where this music was found in streets and markets, thrift stores, and personal collections while looking for vinyl records, and other media.
